INGRAHAM VS HOGG
BIG MOUTH GETS BAD PRESS

Laura Ingraham is a conservative provocateur who, like many of her Fox News prime time colleagues, has to gin up ever greater levels of outrage to keep her viewers awake and glued to the screen.

QUOTE: To win in the ratings game you have to act like a dumbass scumbag. She was bested by intelligence and someone whose heart beats after the tragic time at Parkland.

He has the courage to fight and has shown more moral fortitude than that bitch.  Pardon my french but she’s not on my friends list.

David Hogg is a teenage survivor of a horrific attack on a high school who, like many young people who have achieved sudden fame, has decided that he is an oracle of wisdom.

Hogg is irritating and sanctimonious in the way young people often are. Ingraham is ghastly by design as a market brand. But Ingraham is also a grown-up who should know better.

Yes, David Hogg is turning from a youth with a good cause to a media operator who is, apparently, trying out a possible career as a political gadfly before he’s even cast his first vote. He’s put himself in the public square as a brawler who can throw and take a punch. He’s savvy and getting savvier by the minute, especially in baiting a slew of commentators into treating him as an adult, which is exactly what he wants.

In mid-December, Harvard’s early entry candidates began logging on to the application status portal to learn whether they’d been accepted to one of the world’s most prestigious universities. But for one particularly famous member of the class of 2023, entry into Harvard brought a bit more than congratulations.

FOR DAVID HOGG, IT WAS THE LAST LAUGH...

“Thank you all for the well wishes,” Hogg tweeted Saturday morning. “I’ll be attending Harvard in the fall with a planned major in Political Science.”  Hogg is one of the survivors of the Feb. 14 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., that left 17 dead.

After the shooting, he became a founding member of Never Again MSD, a group that advocates for stiffer gun-control laws. He helped organize the March for Our Lives for stronger gun violence prevention measures, which drew nearly 800,000 people to the nation’s capital.

But the 18-year-old’s very public stance on gun control turned him into a target himself. His home was swatted. He’s been accused of being a crisis actor. And even typical teenager ups and downs have made national news.  Hogg and Harvard didn’t immediately return messages Saturday.

Mocking Hogg’s comments, Fox News host Laura Ingraham tweeted a story from a conservative news website that described the teen as a “Gun Rights Provocateur” — and said Hogg was whining. “David Hogg Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it,” Ingraham tweeted.

Hogg, who the New York Times reported had a 4.2 GPA and 1270 SAT score, took to Twitter, where his number of followers has surpassed 900,000. He compiled a list of 12 companies that advertise on Fox News’s “The Ingraham Angle” and sent a message to his followers: “Pick a number 1-12 contact the company next to that #.”

In mid-December, Harvard’s early-entry candidates began logging on to the application status portal to learn whether they’d been accepted to one of the world’s most prestigious universities. But for one particularly famous member of the class of 2023, entry into Harvard brought a bit more than congratulations.  He was accepted… all of her crap were lies…

FOX the GOP and WHITE SUPREMACIST NEWS NETWORK
The Fox News audience is almost 100% white, according to Nielsen.  Coincidentally, the Nazi’s and the KKK were all white too.  And on the channel’s highest-rated shows, the politics of white anxiety play out practically every day, as hosts and guests warn about the impacts of immigration and minimize or mock the perspectives of people of color. The talk show segments are clearly intended to appeal to people who perceive they are losing their grip on power.

They are what was called in the second world war the Fifth Column. In 2018, Tucker Carlson, another  5th Column FOX arsehole deviate at 8 p.m., and Ingraham, at 10 p.m., spend the most time on this subject. The host in between, Sean Hannity, concentrates more on defending Trump another scumbag  presentation by a bigoted scumbag who is also like Laura a homophobic.

"The America we know and love doesn't exist anymore," Ingraham said Wednesday night. "Massive demographic changes have been foisted on the American people, and they are changes that none of us ever voted for, and most of us don't like."   Ingraham said,   “this is related to both illegal and legal immigration.”

SHE SHOULD SHUT UP AND NOT DRIBBLE
Fox News’ Laura Ingraham took some heat last February for instructing NBA superstar LeBron James to just “shut up and dribble” after he called out President Donald T-RUMP for not giving “ A f*ck about the people.   He dribbles with the basketball, she dribbles with hatred and sick commentaries on others.

Ingraham grew up in Glastonbury, Connecticut, where she was born to Anne Caroline (née Kozak) and James Frederick Ingraham III.  Her maternal grandparents were Polish immigrants, and her father was of Irish and English ancestry.   She graduated from Glastonbury High School in 1981. Ingraham earned a B.A. from Dartmouth College in 1985 and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1991.

In her senior year at Dartmouth College, Ingraham was the editor-in-chief of an unofficial conservative college newspaper, The Dartmouth Review,  (Also thought of by many known as the scumbag press)  becoming its first female editor.   Ingraham wrote several controversial articles during her tenure. Notably, she sent a reporter undercover to a campus LGBTQ meeting. She then published a transcript of the meeting and included the names of the attendees, describing them as “  Cheerleaders for latent campus sodomites”.   She was criticized for forcibly outing the meeting’s attendees.

Jeffrey Hart, the faculty adviser for The Dartmouth Review described Ingraham as having “ he most extreme anti-homosexual views imaginable” claiming “ he went so far as to avoid a local eatery where she feared the waiters were homosexual".   Meanwhile she was probably banging the whole football team… and soliciting the  “ Friends of Vagina Dilldoe Toy Mart as a sponsor.

In 1997, Ingraham wrote an essay in The Washington Post in which she stated that she had changed her views on homosexuality after witnessing "the dignity, fidelity, and courage" with which her gay brother, Curtis, and his partner coped with AIDS.  Ingraham has stated that she supports civil unions between same-sex partners, but believes marriage “ is between a man and a woman”.  Spoken like a true piece of Americas worst, the two sided coin, it flips from head to head when it serves its purpose.

#1   SEAN HANNITY   (FOX)

COMPLETE NARRATIVE WITH ADDITIONS

Fine words from Conservative provocateur Ann Coulter slamming Sean Hannity in a blistering column  and spoke:  "Sean Hannity, bless his heart, has the zeal of the late Trump convert," Coulter wrote in the column on her website. "He would endorse communism if Trump decided to implement the policies of 'The Communist Manifesto.’"

RANKED SENIOR SCUMBAG FOR FOX NEWS
Sean Patrick Hannity is an American talk show host and conservative political commentator. Hannity is the host of The Sean Hannity Show, a nationally syndicated talk radio show. He also hosts a cable news show, Hannity, on Fox News. Wikipedia

BornDecember 30, 1961 (age 57 years), New York, NY

Height6′ 0″

Spouse: Jill Rhodes (m. 1993)

Education: Sacred Heart Seminary, NEVER MADE 2nd TERM, FAILED IN COLLEGE

SalaryIn 2018, Forbes estimated that Hannity's annual income was $36 million.

"Sean Hannity currently serves as one of the major celebrity hosts of FOX News Channel's (FNC) Hannity (weekdays 10-11PM/ET).  He joined the network in 1996 and is based in New York.

He worked as a general contractor, ( LABORER) and volunteer talk show host at UC Santa Barbara in 1989. He later joined WVNN in Athens, Alabama, and shortly afterward, WGST in Atlanta. In 1996, he was hired by Fox and was accompanied by Alan Colmes when he received his show Hannity & Colmes.

Leaving WGST, he worked at WABC in New York until 2013, where he was on air full-time. Since 2014, he has worked at WOR. After Colmes announced his departure in January 2008, he merged his Hannity & Colmes show into Hannity.

Hannity has received several awards and honors, including an honorary degree from Liberty University.

QUOTE: Which when printed on toilet paper you can wipe your ass with...

He has written three best-selling books: Let Freedom Ring: Winning the War of Liberty over Liberalism; Deliver Us from Evil: Defeating Terrorism, Despotism, and Liberalism; and Conservative Victory: Defeating Obama’s Radical Agenda.

Hannity has promoted falsehoods and conspiracy theories, such as casting doubt on Barack Obama’s birthplace, promoting conspiracy theories about the murder of Seth Rich, and reporting false stories about Hillary Clinton’s health.

QUOTE: What a f*cking liar!

He was an early supporter of Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election. Since Trump's election, Hannity has often acted as a conduit for Trump's messaging, criticizing the media and attacking the special counsel inquiry. He speaks to the president on the phone most weeknights, has spoken at the president’s lectern during a T-RUMP rally and White House advisors have characterized him as the "shadow" chief-of-staff.

QUOTE:  We call him an ‘ Alternate news Scumbag”
According to Forbes, by 2018 Hannity had become one of the most-watched hosts in cable news and most-listened-to hosts in talk radio due to his close friendship and access to President Donald T-RUMP.

QUOTE:  In other words, he is the new Dr. Goebbels of FOX. Hitler would of loved him....

Many left FOX NEWS for various reasons.  Bill O’Reilly, for sexual taunts and innuendoes, the rest left probably tired of having to lie, lift their skirts or prostitute themselves for the false twisted FOX stories. Megyn Kelly, Greta VanSusteren, Gretchen Carlson, Bob Beckel, AND Michelle Fields,

Some left for their power failures and their lightbulbs shutting down, falling from grace.  Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Marc Hill, Dick Morris, and Judge Andrew Napolitano (for a while), who shouldn’t even be allowed in traffic court, even if he got a traffic ticket,  but he’s back spewing slanted opinions that wouldn’t pass muster in a real courtroom.

SURVIVOR MODE

Hannity is the last one left and we hope he leaves soon, he is the biggest lying scumbag,  Roger had in his rhelm. The massive evacuation was in part due to the millions of dollars the station was paying to keep sexual abusiveness by Roger Ailes, who recently passed on from a fall he took in his home.  And if it was not a fall and someone pushed him, praise be to that person, who ridded the world of a scumbag.

Suspicions: It was quickly hushed as the conspirators thought he was pushed not just a fall.  If he was pushed I offer the pusher my congratulations, another scumbag gone.   Then there was the rumors of him being tossed off a building and the body moved to his home were not true.  His removal thoroughly qualifying as a GOD type revenge.  Others like Bill O’Reilly sharing his views on employees being submissive also left.

DR. GOEBBELS CREDENTIALS
He is a lying fraud.  As one of the most prominent and influential conservative voices in the country, which is another way of saying he is a super parcel of misinformation and lies for the GOP base and T-Rump sums him up.

He does it by a program offering a mix of faux news, slandered commentary, guest interviews (selected by their views which have to agree with Sean or you get killed) and branded segments such as Ask Sean, where views have the opportunity to send in questions via Twitter or Facebook and heavily screened for him to answer.  After all the ultra-fake conservative really failed to complete a year of college and known as a gay basher in school.

Most recently in 2014, Hannity traveled to Israel to speak with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during the Israel/Gaza conflict.  It was reported during the time he was there the Palestinians declared a truce as they felt having Hannity there was curse enough on the Israelis.

He also reported live from Texas while touring the border with Gov. Rick Perry, who couldn't remember why he was there.  Rick doesn’t remember a lot of things. Thats why TRUMP made him cabinet member.

Prior to his roles with WABC and FNC, Hannity hosted a radio talk show in Atlanta on WGST-AM and was a frequent substitute for fellow talk show host, Rush Limbaugh on WABC in New York.

He is also the author of three New York Times bestsellers, “ Let Freedom Ring: Winning the War of Liberty over Liberalism,” "Deliver Us From Evil: Defeating Terrorism, Despotism, and Liberalism" and "Conservative Victory: Defeating Obama's Radical Agenda."

Most intelligent people commenting that they were printed on nice paper, almost as good as Charmin just that there wasn’t enough truth to wipe T-RUMP’s ass with…

THE REAL FAKE PRESS - LOUIS CARL DOBBS

Louis Carl Dobbs  born September 24, 1945, is an American television personality, author, radio host, and anchor of Lou Dobbs Tonight on Fox Business Network.  He is only outdone in scumbag rhetoric by Sean Hannity.  The two of them should be running neck and neck, hopefully standing on chairs with ropes from the ceiling and a herd of starving wart hogs running loose in the room.

Louis Carl Dobbs is an American television commentator, author, conspiracy theorist, anti-immigration advocate, radio show host, and the anchor of Lou Dobbs Tonight on Fox Business Network.

PROBLEM  10-29-2018
On Sunday, the network’s senior vice president for programming, Gary Schreier, released a statement denouncing what many people called an anti-Semitic trope used by a guest on Dobbs’ show earlier in the week.   "We condemn the rhetoric by the guest on Lou Dobbs Tonight," Schreier said in a short statement. "This episode was a repeat which has now been pulled from all future airings."

The remark drew widespread condemnation when the episode in which it was made was rebroadcast Saturday, hours after a gunman walked into a Pittsburgh synagogue and murdered 11 people in what the Anti-Defamation League called the deadliest anti-Semitic attack in US history.

DOBBS AND GUEST FARREL ARE JEW HATERS
The comment in question was made by Chris Farrell, a board member of the right-wing organization Judicial Watch, during Thursday night’s episode of Dobbs’ show.  During a segment about the caravan of migrants moving toward the US' southern border,  Farrell called the State Department "Soros-occupied" territory, referring to billionaire and liberal philanthropist George Soros, one of the targets of mail bombs discovered earlier this week.

Critics on Saturday were quick to point out that this language echoes a popular anti-Semitic trope. When reached by phone on Sunday, Farrell told CNN he had no comment and hung up.  It wasn't the first time that Farrell had used this language on Dobbs' show. Farrell, a regular guest on the network, called the State Department "Soros-occupied territory" during a May 21 episode.  A Fox spokesperson told CNN Business by email that Farrell will no longer be booked for appearances on the Fox Business Network or its sister channel Fox News.

But the Fox spokesperson did not respond when asked whether Dobbs, who did not condemn or even push back on what Farrell said, was culpable for the comment his guest made on his air.  The Fox spokesperson also did not respond to questions about Dobbs' own rhetoric on Soros. Dobbs is Fox Business Network's highest-rated host.

In the past, Dobbs has referred to Soros as an "evil SOB" and "insidious." Dobbs has also peddled various conspiracy theories about Soros.  This isn't the first time this week that Dobbs has faced widespread criticism.

DEFENDER OF MAD BOMBERS
On Thursday, he sent multiple conspiratorial tweets about the bombs mailed to high-profile Democrats, Soros, and the New York offices of CNN. Dobbs asserted, without evidence, that such reports were "fake news." He called the explosive devices, which the FBI said appeared to be pipe bombs, “ Fake bombs" in a now-deleted tweet. In a follow-up tweet, which he also deleted, Dobbs said the "fake news has just successfully changed the narrative" with coverage of the mail bombs. Dobbs never apologized.

Dobbs' comments about the mail bombs, however, irked some of his Fox colleagues. One senior Fox News employee told CNN on Thursday, “It's people like Dobbs who really ruin it for all the hard working journalists at Fox."  A Fox Business Network spokesperson declined at the time to comment on Dobbs' tweets, and wouldn't say whether they violated the network's standards.

Hope Hicks, chief communications officer for Fox -- the soon-to-be parent company of the Fox Business Network and Fox News -- referred CNN back to the Fox Business Network spokesperson when asked earlier this week whether the Murdoch family had any comment about Dobbs' rhetoric. Hicks did not respond to an email on Sunday about the latest controversy involving Dobbs.

The Washington Speakers Bureau, where Dobbs is billed as a “ financial news legend” and a speaker available for booking, has also ignored repeated requests for comment from CNN Business on whether Dobbs rhetoric is in line with its company's values.

#4   TUCKER CARLSON   (FOX)

COMPLETE NARRATIVE WITH ADDITIONS  -

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tucker_Carlson

Tucker Swanson McNear Carlson is an American conservative political commentator who has hosted the nightly political talk show Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News since 2016. Carlson became a print journalist in the 1990s, writing for the magazine The Weekly Standard and others. Some refer to him as a pr*ck with bad hair

Born: May 16, 1969 (age 49 years), San Francisco, CA
Height: 6′ 1″
Spouse:
 Susan Andrews (m. 1991)
Education:
Trinity College (1992), St. George's School, La Jolla Country Day School
Children: Hopie Carlson, Buckley Carlson, Lillie Carlson, Dorothy Carlson

Dancer:  Failed first round “ Dancing with The Stars”  Something about having his foot in his mouth made the turns and lifts hard...

Tucker Swanson McNear Carlson (born May 16, 1969) Carlson became a print journalist in the 1990s, writing for the magazine The Weekly Standard and others. He was a commentator on CNN from 2000 to 2005, also serving as co-host of Crossfire. Carlson then hosted the nightly program Tuckeron MSNBC from 2005 to 2008.

He has been a political analyst for Fox News since 2009. In 2010, Carlson co-founded and served as the initial editor-in-chief of the conservative news and opinion website The Daily Caller.

Carlson has written two books, the memoir Politicians, Partisans and Parasites: My Adventures in Cable News (2003) and Ship of Fools: How a Selfish Ruling Class is Bringing America to the Brink of Revolution (2018).

STORMY DANIELS INFIGHTING
Stormy Daniels’ attorney Michael Avenatti ( Who is in hot water himself) sat down with CNN’s Brian Stelter this morning to discuss his sparring match with Tucker Carlson mere days ago.

To recap: after months of verbal sparring online and on TV, the two men finally faced off in an interview that went off the rails right away. Avenatti even asked Carlson at one point if he watches porn. And then, of course, there were all the chyrons calling Avenatti the “creepy porn lawyer,” despite Avenatti’s request beforehand.

Today Stelter asked why he went on in the first place, noting that many Democrats don’t go on Fox News.

“If you’re gonna be a fighter and you’re gonna fight for the future of this country and lead the Democratic party,” Avenatti said, “then you can’t be ducking fights. And frankly, sometimes you have to go into the belly of the beast.”

He did call Carlson “entirely unprofessional” but said he believes he came out of the interview victorious:

“Tucker looked terrible coming out of that interview. I mean, he constantly spoke over me. I thought the use of the ‘creepy porn lawyer’ at the bottom of the screen, which I was not aware of at the time otherwise I would’ve called him out on it––I thought that was completely unprofessional and uncalled for. And I think that Tucker lost whatever modicum of respect as a journalist he had left as a result of that interview.”

WENT FROM GOOD TO VERY BAD   FOX FAUX NEWS SYNDROME

Years ago, Tucker Carlson was a well-regarded conservative writer with award-nominated articles and praise from journalism's top editors. Now, he shouts about immigrants, cries that big tech is stifling conservative voices, and poses questions like "How, precisely, is diversity our strength?" on his nightly Fox News show.

Carlson's journey has puzzled media critics for years. "What happened to Tucker Carlson?" they want to know. Now, Lyz Lenz, a writer with the Columbia Journalism Review, may have found the answer: Nothing.

Lenz sat down with Carlson for two and a half hours for her piece "The Mystery of Tucker Carlson" to figure out what Carlson's journey could tell her about journalism and America in 2018. She unpacked her findings for CNN’s Brian Stelter on this week’s Reliable Sources podcast.

The answer to "What happened to Tucker Carlson?" has actually existed for years, Lenz said.

"We want to think that, oh, this is a whole new shtick for him," Lenz told Stelter. "But actually, I think it's just part of who he's always been. If you look at a lot of his early writings... there has always been kind of a latent racism."

When it comes to his job at Fox News as host of a prime time show that's in the time slot previously held by Bill O'Reilly, Carlson often promotes a fear of immigrants taking over white, working-class jobs.

So, she wrote her profile of Carlson in the first person. She acknowledged it was daring, saying writers are "not supposed to make it about ourselves."

"When we're talking about Tucker Carlson, we're not just talking about Tucker Carlson," she said. "We're talking about America. And when we talk about America, we're not just talking about statistics. We're talking about individual lives that are changing and being impacted because of the politics in this country."

Carlson often depicts himself as a person of the people. But at the same time, he makes millions. When Lenz asked about his lifestyle, Carlson told her he had to provide for his family.

"I found the contrast really jarring," she said. "That me, this mom in the Midwest who's struggling to pay for health care, I'm the elite liberal media, but he's not."

NEW YORK (CNN)
A dozen companies have announced they will either pull or suspend their advertising from Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show over comments about immigration he made last week.   They are Land Rover, IHOP, Ancestry.com, Just For Men, Minted, Smile Direct, Pacific Life, ScotteVest, Nerd Wallet, TD Ameritrade, Bowflex, CareerBuilder, Zenni and the Chase United MileagePlus Explorer card had as of Tuesday afternoon all released statements saying that they would no longer advertise on "Tucker Carlson Tonight."

The retreat from Carlson's program came as liberal activists and organizations pressured companies to abandon the show.

The Fox News spokesperson added, “  While we do not advocate boycotts, these same groups never target other broadcasters and operate under a grossly hypocritical double standard given their intolerance to all opposing points of view.”  The Fox News spokesperson said that all of the advertisers were moving their commercials to other shows on the network and that as a result no revenue had been lost.  Overheard…just leave that pr*ck off our products, we don’t support Nazi’s.

In April, more than a dozen companies said they would no longer advertise on Laura Ingraham's show after Ingraham mocked David Hogg, a survivor of the Parkland school shooting who has become a vocal advocate for gun control.

LAST NIGHT IN THE PANHANDLE  DEFENDING T-RUMP

Before President Donald T-RUMP’s rally began tonight, Fox News’ Tucker Carlson opened by mocking CNN’s coverage of the New York Times report obtaining ten years of Trump tax information, particularly Don Lemon‘s.  Lemon went on a tear last night calling Trump a “con man,”.

Carlson said;  He and everyone else on CNN are basically making a mountain out of a molehill.  After playing another clip of Lemon roasting Trump, Carlson said, “Don Lemon is easily amused and he was thrilled last night. When the whole point of your network is to attack a single person, this is a major story.”

He said this should be no surprise to anyone and that the lesson is “you can steal someone’s private tax information, put it on television, and nobody even pauses or asks whether that’s a good idea, much less an invasion of privacy”:

“Are those the rules now? According to Democrats, yes they are the rules. Lawmakers in New York are preparing legislation that would force the release of Trump’s tax returns.  But why stop there? How about his medical records?  The Fake Draft Dodging - 58,000 dead soldiers would like to know how that scumbag beat the reaper.

ANOTHER BATTLE  KAMAU BELL AND CARLSON...
In the second episode of the travel show’s fourth season—KAMAU Bell, who interviewed members of the Ku Klux Klan for his 2016 premiere, has joked that he “samples racism” the way Anthony Bourdain sampled food—

We see a clip of Carlson labeling him a leader of the Antifa movement after he spoke at an anti-hate rally in his native Berkeley.  At the time, Bell really wanted to clap back at Carlson on social media, but CNN convinced him to hold his fire.

“CNN was worried about looking like they are at war with Fox News,” Bell tells me during our conversation for this week’s episode of The Last Laugh podcast. “So they sort of talked to me about, hey, don’t get in a war with Tucker Carlson.”

He managed to restrain himself in the moment. “But I’m going to hold this,” he remembers thinking. “I’m a comedian and an only child. So I keep grudges.”

The comedian also reveals that Carlson’s bookers at Fox reached out to CNN to try to get him on his show. Even if CNN had allowed it, “There is no circumstance in which I would do that,” he says. “I’d rather talk to the Klan again. At least they’re honest.”

ON TUCKER CARLSON LABELING HIM A LEADER OF ANTIFA

“Oh, fuck him. So that happened right around the time there were all these alt-right marches in Berkeley. And the first time it happened, Berkeley didn’t take it that seriously. Then they came back another time and Berkeley didn’t take it that seriously, and then the third time every anti-racist activist in the surrounding area showed up and outnumbered them and I was a part of that.

That’s why I went, not to confront them—there were fights that broke out—but most people just went to show that we’re going to put our bodies here to show that you’re not going to take over this area. It’s not OK. They gave me a megaphone at one point and I was like, ‘This is the Berkeley I believe in and we’re all here together showing up.’

And Tucker Carlson clipped out the ‘Bye, Nazis, bye’ part, as if that’s a bad thing to say. He manipulated it to say that I was somehow part of Antifa and Antifa’s a ‘hate’ organization so therefore W. Kamau Bell peddles hate.”

TRACK RECORD  CNN (2000–2005)

In 2000, Carlson co-hosted the short-lived show The Spin Room.
In 2001, Carlson was appointed co-host of Crossfire.

In October 2004, Carlson had an exchange with Jon Stewart, host of The Daily Show on Comedy Central.Stewart argued that Carlson and the nature of his show were harmful to political discourse in the United States.  Carlson later recalled that Stewart had stayed at CNN for hours after the show to discuss the issues he had raised on the air. “It was heartfelt,"

Carlson said, "He Stewart needed to do this."  In 2017, The New York Times referred to Stewart's "on-air dressing-down" of Carlson as an "ignominious career moment" for Carlson.  According to the Times, Stewart’s criticism "led to the cancellation of the show".

In January 2005, CNN announced they were ending their relationship with Carlson and would soon cancel Crossfire, CNN chief Jonathan Klein told Carlson on January 4, 2005, that the network had decided not to renew his contract.

Carlson has said that he had already resigned from CNN and Crossfire long before Stewart was booked as a guest, telling host Patricia Duff: “  resigned from Crossfire in April 2004, many months before Jon Stewart came on our show, because I didn’t like the partisanship, and I thought in some ways it was kind of a pointless conversation ... each side coming out, you know, 'Here's my argument', and no one listening to anyone else...

MSNBC (2005–2008)  Main article: Tucker Carlson’s early evening show, Tucker  premiered on June 13, 2005, on MSNBC.  In July 2006, he reported live for Tucker from Haifa, Israel, during the 2006 Lebanon War between Israel and Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.  While in the Middle East, he also hosted MSNBC Special Report:  Mideast Crisis.
