CORPORATE SURVIVAL

SURVIVAL

😇   YOU CAN ONLY SURVIVE IN THE FOOD BUSINESS IF

  • Your food is good, that means taste, texture, freshness and portion size…
  • If the service is good, well trained and on time
  • The style or culture of your food is within traditional or current trends…
  • Your costs and retail pricing is within consideration…
  • You can re-market yourself…if needed… listen to suggestions…from the help…
  • Pay attention and listen to your customers…
  • Get rid of bad employees… pay the good ones…
  • Get rid of bad management even if it’s a relative…
  • Pro-active thinking, progressive, intellectually correct, seek perfection, and grow…

👺  FAILURE IS HIGH ON THE CORPO GUANO LEVEL

  • Chains shut down restaurants for all sorts of reasons…like a glutted market… poor food choices
  • The location may not be so great. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
  • The chain itself may be going downhill because of changing consumer tastes.
  • The entire enterprise was not thought out and basically bean counters running the show, not chefs
  • Bosses have too many incompetents on the payroll…
  • Mistreatment of the help, can’t keep good workers, it can be a slim margin business
  • Lousy business plan allowing bad food and poor help choices…

Chipotle CEO IDIOT — Uses The Bare Hand Touch Test For Meat Doneness…

And the winner for the most food poisoning attacks and violations is Chipolte’s, more closures and complaints, Listeria and Salmonella affecting all locals and parts of the country… and multiple attacks all at fourteen locations in one day…

“ When new CEO-schmuck level overpaid idiot Steve Ells was brought in, I cringed.  I thought oh no, lets not replace the current jerk with another loser’ … this is about the most stupidous thing we have witnessed from a company that should have been shut down a long time ago and then they brought this genius in.  When it comes to food and cooking this guy is a master-bater…

Chipotle, is in the news again as CEO Steve Ells appeared on the Today Show to talk woes associated with recovery from 2015 multiple disease outbreaks. Ells said the slow recovery is because their service sucks now.  He’s right…

I like to get my real news on the Internet and consumer digital stuff so I checked out the Newsy video of Ells walking through a Chipotle kitchen below, exactly as shown.

At 10 seconds the guy who wrote, “We deployed robust, industry leading new food safety procedures in our restaurants including new handling procedures for produce, citrus and meats as well as comprehensive sanitizing protocols” pokes at a piece of meat on the grill, I’m guessing to check for doneness, with his bare hands.

Steve, a good food safety culture starts at the top.  Model safe practices for your staff, mix in a thermometer and some gloves and a pink slip for yourself…  where did they find this schmuck…?
