DANGER T-RUMP and RED TIDE and PUFFER FISH

DAMN DANGEROUS NOTICES

“ He is most dangerous to our environment when his mouth is moving"

—  The Greatest  Master-Baiter Of All —

Donald J T-RUMP — A man fishing for ideas to cover his failures… the supreme fish tale teller of all time… the man who would turn our parks and Eco-systems into coal mines and oil wells and pollute our rivers with coal tailings…

POINT:  And he has done it and Joe Biden has stopped him…but severe damage has been done to our waterways which confounded by global warming is not a good scenario.

POINT:  It has gotten into our rivers already, a man who does not care about anything other than himself.  Now he wants to turn the last frontiers into commercial usage.

POINT:  He wants them open them up for drilling, it’s all about money, the future, the planet, re-election and votes and the people who live there simply don’t count.  He really screwed the coal miners, and people woh live near these areas with lies and false promises.

POINT:   Too bad, those miners wanted their jobs back but the entire world is down on coal.   He promised them and lied…the last country in the world to use coal is the eastern part of Germany, ruined by the Russians. And they stopped buying,  getting gas from Russia.

POINT:  If they had balls, we know they fell for his BS,  they would have stood up and dropped him down a shaft by now.  Your vote in 2020 was the best chance for all of us environmentalists who do care about all his destruction…

POINT:  And forth came the big lie, President Obama offered them all miners an other workers displaced re-training into another field as soon as we get back into re-building our infrastructure, but McConnell’s Senate Gestapo killed that bill and re-education.

POINT:  Tailings are the materials left over after the process of separating the valuable fraction from the uneconomic fraction (gangue) of an ore. Tailings are distinct from overburden, which is the waste rock or other material that overlies an ore or mineral body and is displaced during mining without being processed.

POINT:  The extraction of minerals from ore can be done two ways: placer mining, which uses water and gravity to concentrate the valuable minerals, or hard rock mining, which pulverizes the rock containing the ore and then relies on chemical reactions to concentrate the sought-after material. In the latter, the extraction of minerals from ore requires comminution, i.e., grinding the ore into fine particles to facilitate extraction of the target element(s).

POINT:  Because of this comminution, tailings consist of a slurry of fine particles, ranging from the size of a grain of sand to a few micrometers  Mine tailings are usually produced from the mill in slurry form, which is a mixture of fine mineral particles and water.

POINT:  Tailings, especially tailings stored in water by tailings dams in ponds, can be dangerous sources of toxic chemicals, such as heavy metals, sulfides and radioactive content. These ponds are also vulnerable to major breaches or leaks from the dams, causing environmental disasters

POINT:  Because of these and other environmental concerns, such as groundwater leakage, toxic emissions, or bird death, tailing piles and ponds often are under regulatory scrutiny. There are a wide range of methods for recovering economic value, containing or otherwise mitigating the impacts of tailings. They are called lawsuits.

POINT:  However, internationally, these practices are poor, sometimes violating human rights, and the first UN-level standard for tailing management was established to mitigate these risks in 2020.

POINT:  Coal mining is a dirty messy dangerous  business. In parts of West Virginia, Kentucky, and Virginia, mining companies often get at underground coal seams by blowing up the tops of mountains — a process known as mountaintop removal mining.  Once that’s done, they’ll dump the debris into the valleys below, which can contaminate streams and waterways with toxic heavy metals.

EDITOR  —
Appalachian Voices, an environmental group, estimates that coal companies have buried over 2,000 miles of streams in the region through mountaintop removal mining since the 1990s. And there’s growing evidence that when mining debris and waste gets into water supplies, the toxic metals can have dire health impacts for the people, the fish and other small vertebrates and mostly rural communities living nearby.  When you see Trout with three eyes and ears you’ll know what we mean.

POINT: Coal refuse is heaped in slag heaps because high-quality coal will be degraded if mixed with metallic minerals and a series of incombustible inorganic impurities found in the tailings. The impact of coal refuse calls for the study of eco-innovative solutions for the assessment of waste types, with a view to the systematic recovery of these mineral and energetic resources at the lowest possible environmental costs.

POINT: In accordance with the specifications sheet prepared by Center of Studies and Experimentation, of Public Works (CEDEX), mine-tailings refer to the excess waste after having extracted the coal, sourced from the exploitation of open-cast and underground mines (10% of the total) and coal-washing processes (90%).

POINT:   Poor compaction facilitates the penetration of both air and water, thereby increasing the risks of spontaneous combustion.  Legislation on environmental matters and laws on the evaluation of environmental impacts require all mining exploitations at the end of their productive life to submit and to put into action a Plan for the Abandonment and Closure of the Mine and for byproduct recycling

POINT:  Rural communities and Evangelicals?  Many who live in these areas…Those are voters who believed Donald J T-RUMP and that he alone could bring back coal.    He repaid them by killing the bills that prevented coal tailings.  The naive, dumber, under-educated never got their jobs back, never took advantage of the free schooling and retraining offered by President Barack Obama and finally the last user of coal in the world East Germany is switching to natural gas from Russia.

POINT: Half the protections put in place and the committees removed by T-RUMP is why we had an idiot in the WhiteHouse.  He told us drinking bleach for COVID, and Hydroxychloroquine.  He removed half the safeguards from the CDC, and got them to leave the WhiteHouse.

POINT: Now we have lost 614,000 Americans so far to his stupidity.  Reminder, only a fellow idiot votes for an idiot. Look in the mirror pull out your GOP voter card and congratulate the idiot you see.  If you agree with their non policies and obstruction you are no better than them.

POINT: A huge amount of coal particles in the tailing dams (accumulated as dump sand pulps) can be a source of several environmental problems. In this investigation different gravity (jigging, tabling and spiral) and flotation separation experiments were performed to recover coal particles from the tailing dam of Anjir - Tangeh plant, reduce environmental problems and used recovered particles in steel making industries.  Best described as deadly.

Man Critically Ill In Hong Kong After Eating Puffer Fish  —    Normally this would be on my Food Website,  and this may be halfway around the world , but we have an abundance of Sushi/Sashimi shops in Florida and they might offer puffers, AKA  blowfish on the menu.

Also it is very commonly caught here in Florida.   As a food critic writer and food investigator, many Far east restaurants do not follow many of the rules and especially Chinese Buffets.  A man is in a critical condition in a hospital in Hong Kong after consuming puffer fish he caught and suffering suspected tetrodotoxin poisoning.  We call the false buffets here in the states “ Le Junk Food” and you can read my food section about buffets and you might not return.

The 65-year-old man developed facial numbness, general weakness and respiratory failure about two hours after eating cooked puffer fish he caught in local waters for lunch at home earlier this week.  He should have gone to McDonalds…  He went to the accident and emergency department of Prince of Wales Hospital (PWH) on the same day as he ate the fish and was then admitted to the intensive care unit of PWH for further management.  He still has symptoms of paralysis.

Public Warning  —  The Department of Health is investigated the suspected poisoning case and reminds the public not to consume puffer fish, also known as globefish, fugu, or blowfish.   Puffer fish may contain tetrodotoxin. It is mainly found in the eggs, liver and skin. This fish must be cleaned and prepared properly so that organs containing toxins are removed and do not cross-contaminate the edible flesh of the fish.  It and members of its specie are world wide.

DEATH BY FISH

A CHP spokesman said consumption of puffer fish is the main cause of food poisoning from tetrodotoxin, a potent water-soluble neurotoxin that can affect the central nervous system.

A predator that manages to snag a puffer fish before it inflates won’t feel lucky for long. Almost all puffer fish contain tetrodotoxin, a substance that makes them foul tasting and often lethal. To humans, tetrodotoxin is deadly, up to 1,200 times more poisonous than cyanide. There is enough toxin in one puffer fish to kill 30 adult humans, and there is no known antidote. Sharks are the only species immune to the puffer fish’s toxin. They can eat puffer fish without any negative consequences.

“Being heat-stable, the toxin does not decompose upon cooking, boiling, drying or freezing. Tetrodotoxin intoxication can cause problems in respiration or circulation and is potentially fatal. There is no known antidote or antitoxin. Members of the public are advised to avoid purchasing and preparing puffer fish or unknown fish for consumption to prevent tetrodotoxin-related food poisoning,” he said.

It has also been isolated from other species including goby, shellfish, California newt, parrotfish, blue-ringed octopus, starfish, angelfish, and xanthid crabs.

Patients with tetrodotoxin poisoning usually develop symptoms within 30 minutes to six hours of ingestion. These may include nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting, abdominal discomfort, numbness in the face, muscle weakness and slurred speech and cardiovascular effects including hypotension, bradycardia and arrhythmia. If the victim survives the first 24 hours, some might, they are expected to recover as toxin can be expelled from the body through urination. Drink a lot of purified water. Gallons if need be
