FBI agents found four dozen empty document folders marked “CLASSIFIED” during their raid last month of former President Donald Trump’s residence at his Mar-a-Lago club, a newly unsealed court file revealed Friday.

Agents found 43 of those empty folders marked classified in Trump’s office, according to the Department of Justice’s inventory of the seized items, filed in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

The remaining five empty folders with that marking were found in containers in a storage room.

The FBI also found another 42 empty folders marked “Return to Staff Secretary/Miliary [sic] Aide,” during the Aug. 8 raid, which was authorized to search for government documents removed from the White House when Trump left office in Jan. 2021, the filing said.

Twenty-eight of those empty folders were found in Trump’s office, while another 14 were in a storage room elsewhere, the document shows.

And FBI agents found more than 10,000 government documents and photographs without classification markings, the filing shows. Among those were hundreds of photos and news articles, along with gifts, clothing, and books.

The bombshell revelations raise the prospect that the DOJ has not yet recovered the documents that would have been in the empty folders.

The DOJ is investigating possible crimes related to the removal of those and other government documents from the White House when Trump left office in Jan. 2021.

By law, such records must be turned over to the National Archives and Records Administration.

Donald Trump's Favorite Newspaper Turns on Him --

The editorial boards of The Wall Street Journal and the New York Post have issued harsh critiques of former President Donald Trump following the January 6 committee's final hearing of the summer. The Post said the former president is unworthy to lead the country again. The Journal called the facts sobering and called out Trump for his inflammatory tweets. These editorials both published in major newspapers owned by Rupert Murdoch.

Former President Donald Trump's "favorite newspaper" has turned on him and urged the Republican Party to move away from their 2020 presidential candidate following the recent FBI raid at his Florida home.

The New York Post published a scathing editorial on Tuesday that accused the former president of "egomania" and called on the GOP to focus on President Joe Biden's "disasters" instead.  Trump responded to the Post's editorial on his Truth Social platform on Tuesday and complained that his "favorite newspaper" had now turned against him, while criticizing the editorial for what it left out.

The Post said that the Mar-a-Lago raid had put Trump back in the news but that's "a problem for Republicans, who need to move beyond him.”  "Yes, Trump did much good in his four years:   Notice how Democrats have opted not to repeal his tax cuts.

GOOD FOR HIM AND BILLIONS WENT TO THE RICH AND DONALDS KIDS

But he lost in 2020 because too many Americans—especially moderates—had gotten sick of his self-indulgent behavior. Since then, his egomania has only grown," the newspaper said.

The Post said that Trump's "derangement" about the 2020 election “ is why Dems control the Senate now, and his endorsements in this year's primaries have helped saddle Republicans with enough weak Senate candidates this year that retaking the chamber seems increasingly out of reach."

"Republicans, and their candidates, need to keep the focus firmly on the big picture. Namely: Biden and the Democrats are an ongoing disaster—and Donald Trump is no help in digging America out of it," the newspaper said.

Trump responded on Truth Social and suggested the New York Post was attempting to defend Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. The former president has repeatedly criticized McConnell and called for his ouster.

"The New York Post, once my favorite newspaper, in defense of Mitch McConnell's weak performance in stopping the ridiculous, record-setting spending being done by Democrats (which will ruin FIX our Country!) by not using 'all of the tools in the tool box,' like Debt Ceiling, doesn't discuss, in their recent editorial, the advertisements run in Georgia by the Democrats," Trump wrote.  ***

T-RUMP BLAMING McCONNELL — ***

👺  He was referring to the US Senate elections in Georgia in January 2021 when Democrats highlighted a proposal for $2,000 stimulus checks. Both Trump and Democrats supported the idea, but McConnell was opposed.  But he got 60 XXXXX  in tax breaks.

👺  Trump has repeatedly criticized McConnell for agreeing to raise the federal debt ceiling in a deal with Democrats, arguing McConnell should have used the debt ceiling threat to prevent the passage of Democratic legislation.

👺The newspaper's editorial did not name McConnell but he has suggested in the past that Republicans should move beyond the 2020 election.  "McConnell lost those two Senate seats, not Donald Trump!" the former president said.

👺Trump further criticized the Post's editorial for not including the fact that FBI special agent Timothy Thibault had retired. Thibault was involved with the Hunter Biden laptop investigation and the former president slammed him on Tuesday.

👺This is not the first time the New York Post has published an editorial criticizing Trump. In July, the newspaper wrote in an editorial that Trump's actions on January 6 were a matter of  "eternal shame."

👺The Post is owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp, which also owns The Wall Street Journal. That newspaper has also been critical of the former president, as well as some hosts on Fox News, which is owned by Murdoch's Fox Corporation.

👺On Tuesday, a Fox News panel dismissed the idea that Trump could be reinstated to the White House after the former president appeared to demand that he be declared the winner of the 2020 election or that a new election be held.

👺"All of us on this panel know that is not happening," said guest host Shannon Bream. "When the president says things like this, the former president, it gets a lot of eyeballs saying this is outrageous."

👺Also on Tuesday, conservative media personality and author Ann Coulter argued that recent conservative victories had happened without Trump and Republicans could move on from him.

👺"Trump fans are having a lot of fun, but it isn't indicative of a movement that's sweeping the nation," Coulter said on the podcast. "It's not the party of Trump. It's safe to come back, and it's safe for Republicans to stand up and run without Donald T-RUMP.”
